Job Summary
Entry-level Test Technician role based in Swindon (Faraday Park) supporting operational and engineering activities including electronics testing, lab support, stock handling, and deliveries to customer sites. Responsibilities include testing of electronic and power supply products, verification/validation testing with standard test equipment (digital multimeters, oscilloscopes), assisting with end-of-line production support, basic troubleshooting, maintaining the electronics test laboratory, and on-site customer support with occasional local travel. Requires a full UK driving licence, willingness to learn, reliability, BPSS compliance, and the ability to work in a laboratory and customer-facing environment. Flexible working arrangements may be considered (full-time or part-time).
Required Qualifications
- Full UK driving licence
- Basic understanding of electronics or electrical engineering (education or practical experience)
- Hands-on practical skills (testing, wiring, basic assembly preferred)
- Willingness to learn and develop technical skills
- Reliable and proactive approach
- Must be able to meet BPSS (Baseline Personnel Security Standard) requirements, including Right to work in the UK, Proof of identity (passport or driving licence)
- Employment, education and/or activity history covering the previous five years
