Job Summary
Material Handler II in Operations at Goodwill of Colorado, focusing on moving, storing, and retrieving donated product in a warehouse/production setting. Responsibilities include operating and becoming certified on equipment (including forklift, baler, compactor, pallet jack), sorting recyclable materials, loading/unloading trucks, maintaining inventory and organization, preparing items for shipment, and ensuring safety and cleanliness. Crosstraining in other departments and serving customers when needed; physical requirements include lifting up to 75 lbs, prolonged standing, bending, and the ability to work a varied schedule (including weekends, evenings, holidays).
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred
- Experience in storage, moving or shipping/receiving preferred
- Ability to obtain Powered Equipment Operator certification to operate equipment
- Forklift certification preferred
- Demonstrated ability to lift up to 45lbs unassisted and up to 75lbs with assistance
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform lifting/bending
- Good communication skills with customers and peers
