Job Summary
Test Pad Technician responsible for testing power generation equipment to ensure it meets customer specifications, industry standards, and internal quality requirements. The role involves operating, inspecting, troubleshooting, and maintaining test equipment; accurately documenting and communicating test results; conducting functional and performance testing on power generation units; following safety protocols; monitoring gauges and diagnostic software; identifying deficiencies; troubleshooting with OEM tools; recording data and completing reports; collaborating with team members; and participating in ongoing training. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent, with technical training in mechanical/electrical systems preferred and prior manufacturing/test experience in power generation or industrial equipment. Proficient in reading blueprints, gauges, schematics, and test documentation; familiar with diagnostic software; ability to lift 50 lbs; strong attention to detail and teamwork. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Technical training in mechanical or electrical systems is an asset
- Prior experience in a manufacturing or test environment, preferably with power generation or industrial equipment
- Read & interpret blueprints/drawing specifications
- Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of power systems
- Proficiency in reading gauges, schematics, and test documentation
- Familiarity with diagnostic software and basic computer use
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Operate general hand tools, air tools, and power tools for assembly and installation tasks
- Use a variety of tools and equipment, including measurement devices, multimeters, oscilloscopes, ammeters, and voltmeters, to perform diagnostic and assembly work accurately
- Must be able to lift 50lbs
