Job Summary
Tests electronic products, components, and systems for electrical continuity, function, and reliability on various test platforms and static/dynamic stress chambers. Ensures seal integrity using fluid leak testing and destructive processes to verify bonding. Stops the line if products fail requirements, collects diagnostic data to isolate failures, and enters yield data into statistical process control systems. Inspects products for component placement, physical damage, and contamination, then places test marks on passed items. Runs tester diagnostics and performs routine preventive maintenance on testers, chambers, fixtures, and carrier cards.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of a high school degree or equivalent
- 2 years of test operator or related experience
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
- Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations
- Close vision
- Color vision
- Depth perception
- Ability to adjust focus
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, with the aid of a handcart
- Ability to stand
- Ability to walk
- Ability to sit
- Ability to handle small components
