Test & Metrology Technician

Job Summary
The Test & Metrology Technician will operate equipment in the mechanical testing laboratory, conducting mechanical tests such as tensile, compression, and fatigue testing on metallic and polymer parts, preparing test samples for analysis, and performing dimensional inspections with a Mitutoyo CMM. Responsibilities also include improving test procedures, maintaining lab equipment, and accurately recording test conditions and results. Requires an Associates degree equivalent in relevant fields and at least 2 years of lab experience, along with hands-on experience with CMMs and familiarity with GD&T.
Required Qualifications
- BTS, DUT, or Licence Pro in Mechanical Testing, Materials, or Industrial Measurements
- At least 2 years in a mechanical or materials testing lab
- Hands-on experience with CMMs (Mitutoyo or similar) and GD&T interpretation
- Proficient in physical testing and instrumentation
- Comfortable working with procedures, data logging, and quality documentation
