Job Summary
Coordinate with developers and functional end users to create test plans and scripts, while overseeing all test events and staffing them with appropriate resources. Approve test reports, monitor and update bug reports including closure, and manage the defect database under senior QA guidance. Document, implement, and enforce testing processes per organizational standards, then track and prepare reports on test results, case coverage, defects, and performance baselines. This role supports the Financial Technology Service's digital transformation across VA enterprise systems including payroll, claims processing, and financial reporting.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering or Other Engineering or Technical Discipline
- 10 years related experience
- experience with configuring necessary hardware and operating environments
- technical expertise on specific products, operating systems, and specialized environments
- experience in writing or assisting in the development of test plans and test procedures
- Ability to obtain and maintain a public trust clearance
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience supporting large Cabinet-level federal agencies, ideally the Department of Veterans Affairs
- Ability to get up to speed quickly on complex issues

- Capable self-starter with a drive to get all types of work done and high attention to detail
- Excellent ability to communicate across most mediums and settings
- Knowledge of military and veteran populations
