Job Summary
Test Lab Technician responsible for supporting R&D and Renewable Energy Services with testing, validation, and documentation of Engineered to Order products and standard/modified designs. Duties include executing development/type tests, data interpretation and presentation, maintaining measurement equipment and fixtures, operating PLCs/LabVIEW for automation, communicating technical findings to colleagues, ensuring compliance with industry standards (UL, IEC, NFPA70E, etc.), and traveling as required. Must read blueprints/drawings, work under ITAR constraints, and contribute to safety and end-user usability through feedback to engineering. Requires AA degree or equivalent engineering-technical training and 2-4 years of lab experience; US citizenship due to military contracts.
Required Qualifications
- AA degree in Electronics, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering Technology or equivalent work experience
- 2-4 years of experience in an Engineering lab or electro-mechanical background
- Electrical connector or mechanical design experience
- PLC/LabVIEW, Automation Experience
- IPC/WHMA-A-620C Certified
- Be a 'U.S. Person' as defined by ITAR (22 CFR § 120.15)
- Familiar with International Standards from UL, IEC, VDE, DIN, ASTM, TüV and ANSI
