Job Summary
Conduct mechanical testing phases including proof, leak, cryogenic, motion, burst, flow, and life cycling tests using specialized apparatus. Take pre- and post-test measurements, verify axial movements, and check compression limits and part deflection. Assist in establishing laboratory techniques and processes under senior laboratory personnel direction. Perform standard mathematical calculations and clerical duties as assigned. Plan daily activities to ensure multiple projects are met while maintaining strict adherence to established procedures.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Mechanical background
- Frequent use and application of technical standards, principles, theories, concepts, and techniques
- Must have excellent communication skills both written and oral
- Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs
- Must be able to push and pull 35 lbs
- Must be FAA-safety sensitive
- Subject to a pre-employment drug screening for Marijuana (THC metabolite), Cocaine, Amphetamines, Opiates, and Phencyclidine (PCP)
- Subject to random screenings for alcohol, Marijuana (THC metabolite), Cocaine, Amphetamines, Opiates, and Phencyclidine (PCP) after hire
