Job Summary
The IT Manager for Retail Operations will oversee the technology infrastructure and systems supporting our retail business in Canada, leading the IT department to deliver services for retail operations, developing strategic technology plans, overseeing hardware/software maintenance, collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify technology needs, managing vendor relationships and costs, ensuring data security across all retail systems, and staying ahead of industry trends to recommend improvements or new tools. Key skills include leadership of IT teams, infrastructure strategy, POS/e-commerce/platforms expertise, network and database knowledge, vendor management, data security, cross-functional collaboration, and ability to align technology with business goals.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in IT management roles within the retail industry or similar environments
- Proven track record of managing complex projects from inception through completion on time and within budget
- Strong understanding of network architecture, database management systems, point-of-sale (POS) systems, and e-commerce platforms
- Excellent leadership skills with experience managing teams effectively while fostering collaboration across departments
- Strong analytical problem-solving skills combined with excellent communication abilities
