Job Summary
Test Engineering Technician for SOSi to perform test and evaluation of fixed and mobile communications equipment, including unit and system level testing of RF and baseband systems. Develop test procedures/plans, provide detailed written test reports, and conduct demonstrations for line and supervisory personnel. Requires strong technical and collaborative skills, ability to work with a multi-functional team, and active TS/SCI with Polygraph. Preferred candidates hold a degree in systems or electrical engineering with extensive experience in electrical engineering and communications systems (UHF/HF/ELF, encrypted communications). 5 years of electrical engineering experience and technical writing skills are required; military or government contractor experience in C4I/C5ISRT missions is also valued.
Required Qualifications
- 5 years of experience in electrical engineering
- Technical writing experience
- Strong oral communication skills, including conducting formal presentations
- Active TS/SCI with Polygraph
- Experience with UHF, HF, and ELF frequency spectrums and encrypted communications systems
- Service in US military or as a contractor/government employee supporting C4I/C5ISRT missions
- Degree in systems or electrical engineering (preferred)
- Completion of US Military signal school for satellite communications or civilian equivalent (preferred)
- Working conditions: normal office environment; may require non-traditional hours
