Job Summary
Hands-on Test Technician / Junior Test Engineer to support testing operations in a manufacturing environment. Responsibilities include translating and understanding Test Process Instructions (TPI), training production testers, maintaining training records for audits, creating and managing Golden Images (GI) for servers, coordinating production readiness and on-time shipment, developing rack test templates based on BOM and Engineering Instructions, deploying rack configurations with software teams, setting up database entries for new components, troubleshooting basic test issues on the production line, performing root-cause analysis, escalating complex issues, raising tickets and coordinating with relevant teams, and providing training to junior technicians as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- 2–4 years of relevant experience in testing or manufacturing environment (or 4+ years without degree)
- Experience in server, rack, or hardware testing environments is a plus
- Basic knowledge of Linux / DOS operating systems
- Understanding of basic electrical concepts
- Intermediate computer hardware troubleshooting skills
- Basic network hardware troubleshooting capability
- Ability to read and understand Python or other programming scripts
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to prioritize and manage tasks effectively
