Job Summary
Design, build, and maintain Hardware-in-the-Loop (HITL) test systems for multiple hardware platforms while developing production unit test processes and canary fleet procedures. Create and maintain test documentation, establish engineering standards, and lead root cause investigations on hardware failures to drive resolution. Partner with Operations and Product Development to align testing with real-world deployment conditions and build scalable infrastructure from the ground up. Analyze test results to provide actionable recommendations that improve product reliability before deployment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline, or equivalent practical experience
- Experience designing, building, and operating hardware test systems
- Proven experience developing test procedures, documentation, and validation methodologies
- Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills for complex hardware systems
- Experience working across the complete hardware validation lifecycle
- Comfortable reading code, writing scripts, and working with Git repositories
- Self-directed with the ability to establish priorities and build processes independently
Desired Qualifications
- Experience designing or maintaining Hardware-in-the-Loop (HITL) test environments
- Experience with data acquisition systems (DAQs), sensors, telemetry, or logging software
- Proficiency with Python, Git, and Linux
- Experience working with power electronics, battery systems, or high-voltage hardware
- Experience supporting both research and development and production manufacturing environments
