Job Summary
Develop written test and inspection procedures from customer specifications and drawing packages. Collaborate with engineering teams to validate test methods and verify accuracy of test instructions. Support production personnel to resolve technical issues during manufacturing, isolate cause of test failures, and provide feedback on proposed solutions. Perform test equipment gauge repeatability and reproducibility (GRR) and monitor test equipment performance. Support root cause and corrective action (RCCA) of test anomalies. This role requires onsite presence in Blacksburg, VA, with a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Physics and proficiency with electrical test equipment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Physics
- Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering with strong electrical background
- Technical Literacy with electrical schematics and mechanical drawings
- Proficiency with electrical test equipment and diagnostic tools
- Oscilloscopes
- Multi-meters
- Ability to troubleshoot and isolate hardware failures
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of Problem-Solving Frameworks and RCCA efforts
- Knowledge of programming structures and algorithms
- Experience with LabVIEW or Python
