Job Summary
Test Engineer, Mid responsible for leading test and evaluation activities on DoD aerospace/ground systems and ensuring integration of hardware and components into larger systems. Develop and execute large-scale test plans and verification/validation strategies in collaboration with government clients and Booz Allen teams, to test, analyze, evaluate, verify, and validate systems such as a GPS-degraded, semi-autonomous defense capability. Requires strong ability to translate real-world needs into technical specifications, experience with IEEE-based system engineering standards, and readiness to work with the U.S. Navy and other stakeholders; a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mathematics, or Physics and a Secret clearance are required. Preferred qualifications include experience with DoD portfolios, system verification/certification activities, and MBSE tools; Master’s degree and professional certifications are noted as Nice If You Have. Salary range is $62,000 to $141,000 annually.
Required Qualifications
- 6+ years of experience leading test and evaluation, or system integration on DoD aerospace systems or ground systems
- 6+ years of experience in collaborative team environment, developing test strategies/plans/reports
- experience supporting overall engineering integration for the DoD, government agencies, or commercial programs
- Knowledge of systems engineering standards (IEEE 15288.1 and 15288.2)
- Ability to define, develop, maintain, and execute large-scale system test plans and TES/TEMP/SITP/EVP/RVF
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mathematics, or Physics
- Secret clearance
