Job Summary
Test Engineer II focused on designing, evaluating, and implementing new testing processes to improve product quality, cost, performance, and reliability. Serves as a liaison between Engineering and Production for test development and implementation; builds test stations; manages calibration and preventive maintenance of test equipment; monitors FPY to reduce nonconforming output; performs GR&R, Gage R&R, and Cpk analyses; trains technicians/operators on test equipment; manages TPM and downtime; promotes Kaizen participation and CI ideas; supports validation testing and automation of product tests; develops fixtures and software to automate existing product processes and tests. Strong background in electronics, Mechatronics, RF, LabWindows/CVI, LabVIEW, TestStand, and NI hardware/software; experience with continuous improvement and test equipment development.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Electronics Engineering or Mechatronics (Master’s preferred)
- 2 to 4 years of experience as a Test Engineer in electronics
- Intermediate English
- Knowledge of RF
- Experience with LabWindows/CVI, LabVIEW, TestStand
- Knowledge of National Instruments hardware/software
- Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies/tools
- Ability to identify opportunities for improvement in test equipment and processes
- Experience developing and maintaining test equipment and fixtures
- Experience with calibration control and preventive maintenance of test equipment
- Experience with GR&R, AAQ and Cpk analyses
- Ability to train technicians and operators on test equipment
- Experience with automation of validation testing and software for tests
- Knowledge of manufacturing/testing processes in electronics
