Job Summary
Test Engineer to design and execute tests for Radioisotope Power Systems (RPS). Create test designs and test procedures for development, qualification, and acceptance testing based on requirements; build and operate test racks integrating power, data acquisition, communications, and control logic; coordinate commissioning of hardware in-house and at external facilities; support planning and schedule adherence for test activities; witness and review supplier acceptance testing; troubleshoot real-time issues and non-conformances; coordinate design, assembly, and commissioning of test equipment with internal and external stakeholders; perform data analysis of test results and generate test reports.
Required Qualifications
- B.S. or higher in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- 5+ years relevant experience
- Experience interfacing with design requirements, verification and validation
- Familiarity with environmental testing including vibration, shock, thermal cycling, thermal vacuum, impact and puncture, leak tests, EMI/EMC
- Knowledge of control systems and LabVIEW or similar software
- Experience with quality standards such as NQA-1 or AS 9100
- Experience in aerospace and/or nuclear industry
- Proven ability to coordinate across stakeholders
- Self-starter with ability to work independently or in a team
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
