Job Summary
Design and implement automated testing solutions within an agile team, converting operational concepts into practical designs and code. Develop automation within a test framework and integrate test procedures into CI/CD processes using Jenkins and GitLab. Collaborate with developers to capture new and modified code, create test procedures from requirements, and conduct testing and debugging. Solve complex problems by implementing efficient solutions while continuously improving coding skills. This role is fully on-site within the Dedham team at General Dynamics Mission Systems, where engineers advance automated testing capabilities for secure network and voice product development.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or a related Science or Mathematics field
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience
- Master's degree
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience
- Department of Defense Secret security clearance
- U.S. citizenship
- Strong knowledge of a scripting language, preferably Python
- Proficient knowledge of software tools supporting Integrated Development Environments (IDE), version control, defect reporting and scripting
- Ability to turn concepts, specifications, or requirements into design and code
- Experience with testing and debugging
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively
- Understanding of software development best practices
- Ability to define the scope, schedule, and expectations for the work you execute
- Shows initiative on assignments and executes projects with little guidance
- Creative thinking with the ability to effectively multi-task
- Identifies opportunities to apply AI for continuous improvement and innovation
- Work in an environment that encourages innovation and creativity
