Job Summary
Author comprehensive technical specifications for brake controls while collaborating with external suppliers and internal teams. Lead supplier development efforts to meet performance targets and ensure timely firmware releases. Design diagnostic scripts and tools to streamline system troubleshooting and validation. Partner with suppliers to execute rigorous test plans and firmware regression suites, managing deadlines and project milestones. Triage, resolve, and assess the impact of supplier firmware defects using insights from architecture and system design teams. Collaborate with multidisciplinary experts in AI, Mechatronics, Computer Vision, and Robotics to integrate innovations into the vehicle platform.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering
- 6+ years relevant industry experiences
- Direct ownership of functional development, tuning, or validation for hydraulic braking systems (e.g., ABS, ESC, TCS, e-Brake) at an automotive OEM or Tier 1 supplier
- Proven track record of debugging complex, ambiguous, and multi-faceted issues spanning the hardware-software-firmware boundary
- Extensive experience developing, configuring, and operating Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) test benches to execute automated firmware regression testing
- Strong understanding of the automotive product development lifecycle, including software release processes, change management, and long-term schedule planning
- Advanced, hands-on experience with industry-standard tools: Vector CANalyzer/CANoe, dSPACE (ControlDesk/ConfigurationDesk), Polarion, Jira, and Confluence
- Familiarity with automotive communication protocols (CAN, CAN-FD) and functional safety standards (ISO 26262, ASIL-D)
- Experience writing test scripts using Python, MATLAB/Simulink, or CAPL to automate HIL validation suites
