Test Engineer (2 years contract)

Job Summary
Execute end-to-end testing for integrated e-payment systems, covering both device-based and back-office components. Plan, design, and automate test solutions across the full lifecycle, including System Integration Testing, User Acceptance Testing, and performance load testing. Develop comprehensive test cases, manage test environments, and establish traceability between requirements and test scenarios. Log, track, and resolve defects through root cause analysis while conducting reviews with stakeholders. This role requires a minimum of three years of experience in software testing and automation, with a focus on micro-payments or Automatic Fare Collection systems. Candidates must hold a tertiary qualification in IT or Engineering.
Required Qualifications
- Tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in software testing and test automation
- Hands-on experience testing device-based (UI or embedded) systems and/or back-office systems
- Familiarity with the full system development lifecycle, from requirements gathering through development, testing, and deployment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
Desired Qualifications
- Certification in software testing (e.g. ISTQB)
- Experience with micro-payments or Automatic Fare Collection (AFC) systems using smart cards
- Exposure to System Integration Testing (SIT)
- Exposure to User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
- Exposure to Performance and load testing
