Job Summary
Test Development Engineer III responsible for providing engineering input to product development projects, creating and maintaining engineering test plans for NPI and Sustaining/Production Support, translating requirements into test acceptance criteria, defining test parameters for lab personnel, and collaborating across engineering, operations, sourcing, quality, service, and marketing. Key duties include translating plans into executable tests in the Lab Information Management Software (LIMS), coordinating with Lab Planning, ensuring project timelines, developing and revising test procedures, and documenting changes through CN processes. The role emphasizes collaboration across engineering departments and labs, mentoring, and contributing to continuous improvement and innovation in test methodologies. Minimum qualifications include a BS in a related field and 5 years of design/manufacturing engineering experience, with 3-5 years of test equipment experience and familiarity with test procedures, lab operations, and information management systems.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or Equivalent
- 5 years of design and/or manufacturing engineering experience
- 3-5 years of experience using various test equipment
- Familiarity with creating and revising test procedures
- Familiarity with lab operations, test planning, and test execution
- Experience with information management systems
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
- Ability to document official changes and provide leadership in lab/test environments
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment
