Job Summary
Test & Debug Technician (Swing Shift) performs debugging, testing, maintenance and repair of assigned products, processes, testers and equipment in Newark, CA. Responsibilities include testing and debugging of products/processes, operating electronic test equipment (oscilloscopes), documenting test fallouts and WIP issues, troubleshooting malfunctioning test equipment, conducting failure analysis, calibrating and maintaining testing instruments, supporting preventative maintenance, and developing/training others with debugging guidance and work instructions. Works with engineers to debug hard-to-find issues, escalates when limits are exceeded, and contributes to equipment reliability and yield tracking.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum Associate’s Degree in Engineering, Electronics, or equivalent experience
- Minimum 2 years in SMT manufacturing, PCBA, and Assembly related field
- Knowledge of RS-232, RS-485, I2C, SPI, SMBUS, JTAG, SWD, and Boundary Scan
- Specialized in debugging circuit comprised of multiple arrays of BGA, FPGAs, and ASICs
- Ability to read schematics and assembly drawings
- Knowledge of SMT processes and IPC standard
- Knowledge of Flying Probe (Takaya) and Agilent 3070 ICT systems and testing
- Knowledge and ability to operate an X-ray machine
- Knowledge with basic debugging tools such as Multimeter, LCR meter, Oscilloscope
