Job Summary
As a Test Conductor at Edwards AFB, CA, you will lead high-visibility test operations in liquid rocket engine testing, ensuring safety, efficiency, and accuracy. You will be responsible for coordinating testing activities, developing procedures, and directing teams to validate propulsion systems essential for aerospace innovations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree + 5 years of experience in mechanical hardware integration/test/assembly
- OR Master’s degree + 3 years of experience
- OR High school diploma/GED + 9 years of experience
- Experience developing and executing test procedures, analyzing data, and troubleshooting mechanical/electrical systems
- Strong knowledge of test methodologies, instrumentation, and safety protocols
- Excellent verbal and written communication, including the ability to produce technical documentation
- Ability to work in environments requiring Level B PPE and in test settings such as clean rooms, outdoor facilities, or labs
- Valid driver’s license
- Must be eligible to obtain a Security Clearance
Desired Qualifications
- Hands-on experience testing liquid propulsion engines
- Experience with hypergolic propellants
- Familiarity with regulatory compliance standards (OSHA, CFR, ITAR)
- Strong background in hardware setup, instrumentation, sensors, and data acquisition tools
Additional Requirements
- This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR).
