Job Summary
Test and Reliability Engineer sought to own end-to-end validation of hardware from prototype to production. Role involves designing and executing bench-level, environmental, and life-cycle tests; building test rigs; executing field simulations (saltwater, shock/vibe, temperature, abuse testing); lead root-cause investigations; and driving corrective actions. Must document tests, analyze results, and present findings across teams, collaborating with R&D, manufacturing, and ops to define design margins, quality standards, and pass/fail criteria. Requires hands-on hardware testing experience, familiarity with reliability standards (HALT, HASS, Weibull), and proficiency in automated test scripting (Python). Excellent communication to summarize test findings and drive cross-functional alignment is essential.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, or systems engineering (or equivalent hands-on experience)
- 2+ years of experience in hardware testing, validation, or reliability engineering
- Strong hands-on skills with hardware test setups, instrumentation, and data collection
- Experience with root cause analysis techniques (fishbone, 5 whys, etc.)
