Test and Equipment Engineer

Job Summary
Develop, integrate, and maintain aerospace propulsion electrical motor test benches to ensure product quality and compliance with technical standards. Execute functional and environmental test procedures, analyze results, and prepare comprehensive reports with documentation of findings and recommendations. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define laboratory test strategies, specify test interfaces for data acquisition, and integrate test benches with model-based design. Commission equipment and oversee requirements management to support validation activities and continuous process improvement. Work with design engineers on hardware, software, and firmware integration for electric propulsion systems.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or master's degree in electrical / Electronic Engineering, Control Engineering, or a related field
- 5 years of experience in electronic product development or in system testing and system integration
- Visa and Passport required
- Willingness to work with, and travel to, domestic and international design and manufacturing locations when necessary
- Experience with electronic product development and phase-gate processes
- Experience in testing electromechanical propulsion
- Experience in testing high voltage motor control equipment
- Experience with testing safety critical controllers
- Experience with requirements-based development, requirements management and V&V process
- Experience with integration of hardware, software and firmware
- Experience with equipment level safety assessment
- Experience with ARP 4754A, ARP-4761, DO-160, DO-254
- Experience with IBM DOORS or JAMA
- Proficiency in English
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze and improve complex processes
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
- Experience with development apps with functional C++ on LabVIEW
