Job Summary

Create and execute test plans, test cases, and scripts for new developments, enhancements, and system changes across the insurance sector. Perform functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing to validate underwriting functionality, policy administration processes, and management reporting outputs. Identify, log, and manage defects through to resolution while collaborating with developers, third-party suppliers, and business users throughout testing cycles. Ensure data integrity across platforms and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives including test automation and process enhancements. Produce clear test documentation, progress reporting, and quality metrics while keeping abreast of industry trends and emerging testing methodologies. This role supports the delivery of high-quality technology solutions for Brown & Brown Europe's Managing General Agency businesses in a hybrid London environment.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience as a Test Analyst, QA Analyst, or Software Tester
  • Experience within the insurance sector
  • Knowledge of the London Market and/or Lloyd's insurance environment
  • Experience creating and executing test plans, test cases, and regression testing
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Experience managing defects through their lifecycle
  • Experience working with testing tools
  • Good data analysis skills
  • Experience working with SQL
  • Experience working with Microsoft Excel
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Ability to deliver high-quality outcomes in a fast-paced environment
  • This is a Hybrid role with a minimum of 3 days based in the London office
  • Some UK travel to sites primarily in the South East will be required from time to time

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience testing underwriting, policy administration, claims, or management information systems
  • Knowledge of Lloyd's reporting processes and regulatory requirements
  • Experience working in Agile delivery environments
  • Exposure to test automation tools and frameworks
  • Experience with Azure DevOps, Jira, TestRail, or similar testing tools
  • Understanding of automated regression testing and modern testing practices
  • ISTQB Foundation Certification or equivalent testing qualification
  • Degree-level education or equivalent experience in a technology, business, or related discipline
