Job Summary
Outside Sales Representative at Spectrum engages with residential customers through face-to-face interactions to promote high-speed data and communication services. Responsibilities include acquiring new customers by visiting leads, conducting needs analyses, presenting tailored proposals, completing sales documentation, participating in meetings and training, and achieving monthly sales targets across services (data, mobile, landline, video). Travel is required, with roughly 90% of time spent outdoors and minimal office time. Required skills include strong English communication, interpersonal abilities, consultative selling, ability to travel, and independent work ethic; a valid driver’s license and personal vehicle are needed. Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent work experience
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
- Engaging interpersonal skills
- Ability to listen, formulate needs based sales strategies, and articulate pitches to sell products and services
- Must be able to travel to and from assigned territories and company facilities
- Familiarity with computer operating systems and software applications as well as consumer and commercial communication devices (e.g., PDAs, smartphones, routers, modems, set-top converters)
- Must be able to work evenings and weekends
- Ability to work independently with little or no supervision
- Valid driver’s license, car insurance, satisfactory driving record, and use of a reliable personal vehicle
- Preferred: 2+ years sales or relevant work experience
- Knowledge of cable or telecommunications services and data networking fundamentals
