Job Summary
Outside Sales Representative with Spectrum drives growth by acquiring new residential customers through door-to-door/face-to-face engagement, conducting needs analyses, presenting tailored sales proposals for Spectrum’s high-speed data, mobile, landline, and video services, completing all required sales documentation, and participating in training to meet monthly targets. The role emphasizes outdoor field work, an ability to travel, strong interpersonal and communication skills, and the readiness to work evenings and weekends while representing Spectrum in assigned territories.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent work experience
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
- Engaging interpersonal skills
- Ability to listen, formulate needs based sales strategies, and articulate pitches to sell products and services
- A passion to succeed and strong personal drive to sell to prospective customers
- Ability to travel to and from assigned territories and company facilities
- Familiarity with computer operating systems and software applications as well as consumer and commercial communication devices (e.g., PDAs, smartphones, routers, modems, set-top converters, and wireless devices)
- Must be able to work evenings and weekends, and as business needs dictate to maximize prospective customer contact
- Ability to work independently with little or no supervision
- A valid driver’s license, car insurance, a satisfactory driving record, and the use of a reliable personal vehicle
