Job Summary
Territory Sales Manager responsible for executing the company’s sales plan in an assigned territory and traveling overnight. You will build and maintain relationships with new and existing customers, manage a robust prospect pipeline, prepare proposals and quotes, present products, and demonstrate value to drive revenue growth. Collaborate with the Vice President of Sales and cross-functional teams, communicate the brand identity, and navigate office, factory, and warehouse environments. The role requires five years of B2B industrial sales experience (experience in packaging/distribution preferred), strong communication and prospecting skills, CRM proficiency (Salesforce or similar), and the ability to travel 15-20% to cover the territory. A bachelor’s degree is preferred, with consideration given to equivalent experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to develop sales strategies and effectively manage accounts are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum five years of B2B industrial sales or distribution sales experience
- Bachelor’s degree is preferred but will consider candidates with appropriate experience in lieu of a college degree
- Superior communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong sales hunter mentality with passion to succeed
- Strong prospecting and account qualification skills
- Proven ability to develop and implement sales strategies
- Ability to develop a comprehensive understanding of financial and business plans
- Ability to work in a team environment with senior management as well as plant-level employees
- Must be comfortable in office, factory and warehouse environments
- Ability to work with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel (pivot-table experience a plus) and PowerPoint
- Experience with SalesForce.com or a similar CRM tool
- Ability to travel 15 - 20% of the time
