Job Summary
Conduct meetings, deliver presentations, and write reports to groups while managing expense accounts and tracking business transactions. Travel within the assigned territory to meet with existing and potential customers, solicit orders, and demonstrate products using samples and catalogs. Compile lists of potential customers from directories, trade shows, and websites to drive lead generation. Provide price quotes, negotiate credit terms, prepare sales contracts, and estimate delivery dates based on production schedules. Collaborate with inside sales representatives to maintain up-to-date account activities and coordinate customer training programs. Develop and maintain strong relationships with purchasing contacts while investigating and resolving customer issues related to deliveries. Requires a valid driver's license, ability to travel by air, and willingness to stay overnight as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university, or at least four years of relevant experience or training, or a combination of both
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to travel by air within and outside the assigned territory
- Willingness to stay overnight as required by the position
- Regularly required to talk, hear, and occasionally stand, walk, and sit
- Frequent use of hands for handling and feeling objects
- Must be able to lift and move up to 10 pounds frequently and up to 25 pounds occasionally
- Involves physical activities such as climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, and reaching
- Frequent exposure to heights over 4 feet
- Specific vision requirements include good depth perception, minimal color discrimination, and visual acuity for driving
- Occasional long work hours
