Job Summary
The Territory Sales Manager will develop business growth strategies, orchestrate team selling efforts, manage the distributor and agent network across India, and achieve quarterly and annual revenue targets. Responsibilities include utilizing a team selling approach, maintaining intimate product knowledge, identifying business opportunities, and ensuring compliance with laws and regulations. The role requires five or more years of sales and account management experience and expertise in capital equipment sales within the Indian industrial market. Candidates must be results-oriented with strong communication skills and the ability to develop new business, supported by CRM experience.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Technical degree preferred
- MBA preferred
- 5+ years sales and account management experience
- CRM experience required
- Proven ability to independently develop new business and build repeat business
- Ability to effectively assess customer needs, present solutions, and close sales
Desired Qualifications
- Fluent business level English
- Additional language preferred
- Strong understanding of the Indian industrial, R&D, and manufacturing market
- Capital equipment sales experience preferred
- Experience working with large enterprise, government, or institutional customers
- Experience working in a global organization preferred
- Excellent presentation and communication skills
- Ability to self-start and work independently
- Willingness to travel extensively within India
