Job Summary
Territory Sales Manager for Houston, TX responsible for driving sales growth and expanding market share within an assigned territory by developing relationships with foodservice operators and key decision-makers. This highly active, field-based role requires regular in-person customer visits, prospecting, cold calling, and business development activities. You will develop and execute territory sales plans, manage and grow existing accounts while pursuing new opportunities, conduct face-to-face meetings with restaurants, catering companies, healthcare facilities, schools, and other foodservice accounts, present products and conduct tastings, build and maintain operator relationships, collaborate with internal teams to ensure customer satisfaction, monitor market trends and competitor activities, maintain CRM records and pipeline updates, participate in trade shows and events, and report safety and quality observations when needed.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred in business, Marketing, Food Science, or related field
- Minimum 2 years of outside sales experience, preferably in foodservice, food manufacturing, or consumer packaged goods
- Experience working with foodservice operators
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel extensively throughout the assigned territory
- Proven track record of generating new business and achieving sales targets
- Strong prospecting, negotiation, and closing skills
- Relationship building
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage a territory effectively
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM software
