Job Summary
Territory Sales Manager for the Charlotte, NC area responsible for driving sales growth by developing relationships with foodservice operators and key decision-makers. Conducts regular face-to-face meetings with restaurants, catering companies, healthcare facilities, schools, and other accounts; delivers product presentations and tastings; identifies customer needs and recommends products to support menu development, profitability, and operational efficiency. Builds and maintains strong operator relationships, collaborates with internal teams (customer service, operations, QA, R&D, marketing), tracks market trends and opportunities, maintains CRM records and pipeline updates, and participates in trade shows and promotions. Requires active prospecting, cold calling, door-to-door visits, and travel within the territory; travel and a valid driver’s license are required. Bachelor’s degree preferred; minimum two years outside sales experience in relevant sectors; strong negotiation and closing skills; capable of independent territory management.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years outside sales experience in foodservice, food manufacturing, or consumer packaged goods
- Experience working with foodservice operators
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel extensively within territory
- Proven track record of generating new business and achieving sales targets
- Strong prospecting, negotiation, and closing skills
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Ability to work independently and manage a defined territory
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM software
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Food Science, or related field preferred
