Job Summary
Territory Sales Manager drives sales growth for Cameron Ashley Building Products in a defined geographic area, leveraging product knowledge and industry/geography awareness to champion the company’s value-add, develop and penetrate key accounts, provide timely quotes, handle price objections and negotiations, deliver professional sales and educational presentations, forecast account information, and collaborate with distribution-center and inside-sales teams to expand the customer base. The role requires proactively engaging new and existing customers, developing strategic growth plans, and traveling 50-75% to service customers and pursue new opportunities. Essential skills include active listening, persuasive communication, relationship-building, strategic thinking, and CRM/office-software proficiency. Bachelor’s degree is preferred, with outside sales and building-products experience strongly encouraged; a valid driver’s license and the ability to travel are required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- Outside sales experience is a must – Building products experience is preferred
- Ability to understand the key aspects of selling on value as opposed to price
- Demonstrated ability to work within the dynamic and evolving sales cycle
- Territory travel (50 - 75%); with limited overnight travel
- Valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record
- Ability to pass drug test and background verifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age
