Job Summary
Territory Manager responsible for the direct sale of new, used and rental John Deere Construction and Forestry Machinery, Compact Construction Equipment, and Allied Products to assigned accounts. Manage all sales activities from lead generation through quote and close; build and maintain strong customer relationships for long-term growth. Key duties include tracking bid results, determining customer needs, performing trade evaluations and price calculations, writing bid specifications, conducting product demonstrations, providing Operation & Maintenance training on new equipment deliveries, attending trade shows and industry events, maintaining CRM records, resolving customer concerns, monitoring competitor pricing, and submitting sales reports. Requires knowledge of construction/industrial equipment, strong interpersonal and presentation skills, excellent planning and organizational abilities, and the ability to travel within the assigned territory; driving a vehicle and occasional air travel are expected.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- Five years outside sales experience
- Knowledge of construction and/or industrial equipment operation
