Job Summary
Manage a designated territory in the Greater St. Louis Area Council, focusing on growing the district through finance, membership, and volunteer development. Build relationships with diverse audiences, including adult volunteers, community leaders, and business representatives, while driving sales, fundraising, and marketing initiatives. Execute event planning and public speaking to bridge strategic vision with mission execution. Requires a Bachelor's degree, valid driver's license, and ability to work varied hours including evenings and weekends. Compensation includes a $44,000 base salary plus a $10,000 performance bonus, alongside comprehensive benefits and reimbursement for business expenses.
Required Qualifications
- Must be willing to accept and meet Scouting America's leadership and membership standards and subscribe to the Scout Oath and Law
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license
- Attained 21 years of age or older unless prohibited by any applicable law
- The ability to work varied hours when necessary, evening activities and weekend work is frequently required to achieve positive objectives
- Must currently live, or be willing to relocate to, the boundaries of the service area
- Ability to travel for training at least once a year for one to two weeks
- Ability to lift 20 pounds regularly
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- People-oriented, having the ability to work well with adult volunteers, community and business leaders, and representatives of other organizations
- Non-profit, fundraising, sales, or marketing experience is a plus
- US work authorization (Required)
