Job Summary
Develop territory and sales plans with leadership to target key customers and prioritize activities. Travel throughout the assigned territory to call on regular and prospective customers, solicit orders, and negotiate while maintaining margin targets. Qualify new and existing opportunities to determine revenue potential and position products as a strategic advantage. Provide technical support, including budgetary pricing, and manage customer concerns promptly. Contact customers with outstanding accounts to engage in collection activities. Monitor market conditions, product innovations, and competitor pricing. Represent the company professionally with customers, employees, and suppliers, and complete required sales reports including expense accounts. Stay current on HVAC and Roofing products, industry changes, and manufacturing processes. Promote the organization in trade associations as requested. Overnight travel is required.
Required Qualifications
- Valid government driver's license
- Acceptable driving record
- Ability to operate a motor vehicle
- College degree
- 2-4 years sales experience
- Sales experience preferably in wholesale distribution
- Strong sales presentation
- Effective rapport-building and relationship skills
- Ability to take initiative
