Territory Manager - Outside Sales

Job Summary
Territory Manager in metal industry seeks to travel within assigned territory, conduct sales calls on existing accounts and prospects, gather competitive feedback, coordinate with Inside Sales, and implement follow-up systems to generate sales. Requires overnight stays and after-hours customer entertainment. Responsibilities include negotiating pricing and service requirements, developing relationships at all levels, soliciting and developing new accounts, handling customer complaints with cross-functional teams, leveraging market knowledge, maintaining up-to-date product understanding, coordinating with departments for special needs, and supporting strategic planning with Sales Manager. Strong communication, presentation, and analytical skills, plus proficiency with laptop-based pricing/inventory systems, CAD reading, and Microsoft Office, are required.
Required Qualifications
- Four-year degree preferred
- Minimum of three years sales and/or purchasing experience in the metal industry preferred.
- Must possess a comprehensive knowledge of the metal industry.
- Must have acceptable MVR for insurance purposes.
