Job Summary
Conduct daily sales calls across Northern California and Northern Nevada, visiting customer facilities to facilitate presentations, quote prices, and close transactions. Build and maintain client relationships while monitoring territory performance against established objectives. Provide product feedback to management and assist in developing coverage plans and sales forecasts. Submit timely activity reports and resolve customer issues within marketing policies. Travel daily within the region with overnight trips to the Oregon border; conventions may be required.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma
- 1-3 years of related sales experience
- B2B flooring sales
- Ability to learn and maintain in-depth knowledge of the company's diverse business and product lines
- Knowledge of the terms, concepts and practices of the marketing and sales environment
- Basic accounting
- Product developments
- Manufacturing procedures
- Distribution
- Customer service
- Strong computer literacy
- Proficiency with Google Suite
- Proficiency with other internal database systems
- Presenting and communicating in oral, written, and interpersonal forms
- Ability to effectively interact and negotiate with internal and external customers and business contacts
- Reducing tension or conflict in antagonistic situations
- Maintaining professionalism
- Ability to persuade, market, and sell new ideas
- Daily Travel within your territory
- Overnight travel to Northern Oregon
- Yearly travel to floor covering conventions
