Job Summary
Manage sales of adjuvants and nutritional products to agricultural distributors and growers in Northern California by finding new leads, conducting office visits, and executing cold calls. Engage distributor personnel and end users through networking and referrals while making sound agronomic recommendations to maximize crop yield. Collaborate with research teams to design field trials and coordinate test protocols aligned with market needs. Track Key Performance Indicators and communicate product data clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences. Maintain relationships with the existing customer base through check-up calls and follow-up emails to ensure a smooth sales process.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Crop Science or similar agricultural, scientific/technical field of study preferred, or equivalent work experience
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in specialty agricultural product sales or development and marketing support
- Extensive knowledge of crop production and cultural practices
- Ability to travel as required by the Territory
- Clean driving record required
- Excellent communication skills in English required
- Solid computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word and Power Point a must
- Strong knowledge of sales in agricultural specialty products (adjuvants, specialty fertilizer, bio stimulants and pesticides)
- Demonstrated effective negotiation skills resulting in profitable growth
- Familiarity with CRM software and proven ability to use it as an enabling tool to manage and drive sales
- Pre-employment drug screening is required
