Job Summary
Manage established and new customers by selling food and non-food items to achieve sales and profitability goals. Foster customer relationships within a team-based selling model while covering for Territory Managers on other projects. Drive motor vehicles to existing customers and prospects for product delivery, troubleshoot order process issues such as delivery mis-picks or stock-outs, and collect accounts receivable based on approved credit terms. Develop new business by identifying prospective customers through market intelligence, trade shows, and existing client leads. Transition to Territory Manager within 9 to 12 months as approved by sales leadership. Valid driver's license required; frequent lifting up to 75 lbs.
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver's license required
- motor vehicle record must be in good standing
- Must be able to lift 75 lbs
- 1+ year of sales experience preferred
- Foodservice industry/culinary/restaurant management/hospitality experience preferred
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and presentation abilities
- Ability to build internal and external relationships and cold call to develop new business
- Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills
- Competitive spirit and results driven mentality
- Problem solving ability / Organization and negotiation skills
- Team up mentality to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
- Proficient computer skills
- Experience using Customer relationship management tools preferred
- HS Diploma or equivalent
