Job Summary
Territory Manager in Evansville, IN responsible for owning and nurturing customer relationships within a team-based selling model in the foodservice distribution space. Develops and delivers sales presentations, educates customers on ordering platforms, provides menu consultations, product recommendations, and pricing strategies to drive customer success. Manages territory with a focus on increasing case growth and acquiring new business, coordinating with Specialists, marketing, supply chain, and customer service to ensure smooth product delivery. Builds new business using market intelligence, leads from existing clients, and participation in industry events; travels within the territory to visit customers and ensure satisfaction. Requires strong communication, relationship-building, negotiation, and problem-solving skills, as well as proficiency with CRM tools and Microsoft Office. The role emphasizes outside-the-office work within the assigned territory with regular customer visits.
Required Qualifications
- HS Diploma or equivalent
- 1+ year of sales experience preferred
- A valid driver’s license is required, and motor vehicle record must be in good standing
- Foodservice industry/culinary/restaurant management/hospitality experience preferred
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and presentation abilities
- Ability to build internal and external relationships and cold call to develop new business
- Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills
- A competitive spirit with a drive to exceed goals
- Problem solving ability / organization and negotiation skills
- Team up mentality to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
- Tech-savviness – proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM tools like Salesforce is a plus
- Have the ability to occasionally lift or carry up to 75 lbs.
