Job Summary
Territory Manager position focused on driving growth in Emerson's ProTools portfolio within the utility market across the Houston, TX area. Responsibilities include directing and coordinating sales efforts with distributors and end users, conducting field product demonstrations and trainings, introducing new products, developing and executing territory business plans, managing sales forecasts, building distributor and customer relationships, providing product and pricing program expertise, supporting regional initiatives, and maintaining merchandising at distributor locations. Requires a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) and a track record of successful territory growth, field demonstrations, strong communication, and ability to work both independently and with a team. Preferred experience in B2B sales within professional tools or industrial environments, and familiarity with CRM tools and Microsoft Excel/PowerPoint.
Required Qualifications
- Experience with distribution channels, ideally within electrical, industrial, or plumbing markets
- A bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, industrial distribution, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience
- Demonstrated success developing and executing territory business plans that drive incremental growth
- Experience conducting field product demonstrations, training, and technical problem solving with end users and distributors
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proven ability to introduce new products and solutions to expand market share
- Experience developing and managing monthly and annual sales forecasts
- A consistent record of meeting or exceeding sales goals
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively as part of a collaborative team
- Working knowledge of CRM tools and proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint
