Job Summary
Achieve annual sales, profitability, and market share objectives within the assigned Western Region territory by developing growth plans focused on distributor expansion, OEM engagement, and end-user development. Build and maintain relationships with distributors, fluid power integrators, OEMs, and key industrial accounts while identifying, qualifying, and closing new business opportunities across manufacturing, mining, energy, and industrial markets. Conduct customer visits, product demonstrations, and technical presentations to support customers with product selection and application recommendations, maintain an active sales pipeline with accurate forecasting, and monitor competitive activity. Represent Donaldson at industry trade shows and customer events, with up to 60% travel including overnight trips. Candidates must reside in Arizona, Nevada, California, Oregon, or Washington.
Required Qualifications
- Must reside in the state of Arizona, Nevada, California, Oregon, or Washington
- Bachelor's degree or 3+ years of equivalent work experience
- Must be currently and legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future sponsorship
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel by air and automobile
- Must be able to travel up to 60% throughout the region
- Must be able to effectively lead and coach others
- Must be able to influence stakeholders across multiple levels of customer organizations
- Must be able to demonstrate success managing a multi-state sales territory and achieving revenue growth objectives
Desired Qualifications
- Experience selling hydraulic filtration, fluid power, hydraulic components, industrial automation, or engineered industrial products
- Knowledge of OEM, MRO, mobile equipment, manufacturing, mining, agriculture, and energy markets
- Experience developing distributor and channel partner relationships
- Strong consultative selling, negotiation, and account management skills
- Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office applications
- Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills
- Self-motivated with strong business planning and territory management capabilities
