Job Summary
Develop new customer relationships and nurture established partnerships to maximize gross margin through new and used heavy equipment sales. Prospect for new accounts, obtain customer applications, and maintain active deal lists with follow-up dates. Provide quotes for purchases, perform machine appraisals on trade-ins, and assist in collecting sales monies. Organize customer call schedules within the company CRM and maintain up-to-date product knowledge. Manage territory covering La Plata, Montezuma, San Juan, and Dolores counties, requiring travel across construction and agricultural sites. Requires valid driver's license, strong analytical skills, and experience in sales or the industry.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver license
- Insurable driving record
- Minimum two years sales and or industry related experience
- Professional appearance
- Good language and social skills
- Capable of moving objects weighing up to 75 pounds
- Able to maneuver over Construction and Agricultural sites for up to 8 hours/day
- Able to operate a motor vehicle day or night
- Good driving record for insurability reasons
- May have to obtain a Commercial Driver License (CDL)
- Able to demonstrate equipment safety practices
- Able to maneuver over and under equipment
