Job Summary
Territory Manager overseeing the Binghamton or Oneonta, NY area, focused on nurturing existing accounts and acquiring new business. Responsibilities include educating customers on ordering platforms, delivering menu consultations and product recommendations, developing pricing strategies, delivering sales presentations, and driving case growth. You’ll collaborate with Specialists, marketing, supply chain, and customer service to ensure successful product delivery, manage the routing schedule, identify prospective customers via market intelligence and leads, and conduct site visits to maintain customer satisfaction. The role involves significant field activity in an outside-the-office environment, travel within the territory, and a focus on relationship-building and customer service to drive performance and earning incentives.
Required Qualifications
- 1+ year of sales experience preferred
- HS Diploma or equivalent
- A valid driver’s license
- Motor vehicle record in good standing
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to build internal and external relationships and cold call to develop new business
- Customer service and interpersonal skills
- Team-based selling mentality
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; CRM tools like Salesforce a plus
- Ability to lift or carry up to 75 lbs
