Territory Manager, A & D Development

Job Summary

Develop and sustain strong relationships with architects, designers, and key influencers to drive demand for Global Office, Global Care, and Evolve systems through presentations, live demos, and project consultations. Execute a strategic plan to increase product visibility within the A+D community while conducting ongoing product education and training sessions for design professionals. Represent Global at industry trade shows, networking events, and associations like IIDA and ASID, and track project opportunities through CRM tools to follow through on specifications. Provide market feedback and competitive intelligence to product and marketing teams while collaborating on new product launches. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and evolving workplace strategies. Frequent travel in the field more than 50% of the time, including driving long distances daily.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of outside sales experience
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
  • Strong business acumen and ability to interpret and on business reporting
  • Strong relationship-building, negotiation, and communication skills
  • Ability to analyze territory potential, identify growth opportunities, and execute sales strategies
  • Ability to sit and drive for extended periods
  • Ability to walk and navigate customer sites, including offices, warehouses, rooftops, or construction areas as required
  • Ability to stand for extended periods during meetings, presentations, and customer events
  • Occasionally lift, carry, and transport product samples or marketing materials up to approximately 25 pounds
  • Effective verbal communication, including presentations and negotiations
  • Ability to plan daily activities, manage time independently, and prioritize tasks to achieve business objectives
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel daily within territory
  • Occasional overnight travel as required
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis
  • Frequent travel in the field more than 50% meeting with clients in-person
  • Representing Global at relevant events within the assigned geographic territory
  • Driving long distances daily
  • Must be able to sit, stand, and move throughout showrooms, client spaces and event locations
  • This role may occasionally require lifting or transporting product samples or materials up to 50 lbs

Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred
  • Equivalent combinations of education, experience, or military service will be considered
  • Preferably in dealer or distribution sales
  • Preferably in furniture, building materials, or related industries
  • CRM experience preferred
