Job Summary

The Territory Account Manager is responsible for managing and growing an assigned sales territory by developing new business and expanding existing accounts with a strong focus on Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) programs. Essential duties include identifying and targeting accounts for strategic growth, executing sales strategies to meet revenue goals, and building strong customer relationships through regular visits and proactive issue resolution. The role also entails collaboration with internal teams for customer satisfaction and vendor partnerships, and it requires excellent communication skills and a proven sales background.

Required Qualifications

  • Proven track record in outside sales, preferably within industrial distribution, fasteners, or related industries
  • Strong understanding of Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) programs
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with internal teams

Desired Qualifications

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience with CRM/ERP systems (LEADsmart and Prophet 21 preferred)
  • Knowledge of fasteners, MRO products, and technical sales
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
