Job Summary
Manage and develop relationships with existing and prospective customers within your assigned territory to drive sales of Raymond/BT material handling equipment. Conduct face-to-face meetings, telephone, and email outreach to present product features, create market needs, and provide consulting on material handling solutions. Investigate competitive users, develop action plans to convert them, and coordinate with internal departments to address prospective customer requirements. Prepare formal quotations, pricing, and factory order paperwork while maintaining gross profit targets and managing discount approvals. Generate monthly and annual forecasts, customer profiles, and lost order reports to support business planning and market penetration strategies.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years sales experience
- Demonstrated ability to convert prospects and close deals while maintaining established sales quotas
- Solid experience in opportunity qualification, pre-visit planning, call control, account development, and time and territory management
- Success in qualifying opportunities involving multiple key decision makers
- Strong knowledge of retail and/or wholesale sales principles, methods, practices, and techniques
- Strong problem identification and objection resolution skills
- Must possess a valid driver's license
- Candidates experienced in Account Management, Territory Sales Management or Outside Sales who have worked autonomously
- Minimum of 1 year of experience cold calling to develop a territory of new business
- High School
- Post secondary education
- Community College, Marketing/Sales
