Job Summary
Lead on-ground operational response across terminal and landside environments, ensuring safety, compliance, and efficiency during routine operations and critical incidents. Provide confident leadership to staff and service providers while making timely decisions under pressure, including during medical, security, or emergency events. Maintain oversight of terminal presentation, passenger flow, and service delivery standards through proactive engagement and issue resolution. Manage stakeholder relationships with internal departments, government agencies, and third-party providers to ensure coordinated operations. Support emergency management plans and operational continuity during planned or unplanned events. This 12-month max-term contract offers a pivotal leadership role at Australia's premier gateway, where you shape the passenger experience at scale.
Required Qualifications
- Proven leadership experience in a dynamic operational environment, including team coordination, incident response, and real-time decision-making
- Demonstrated capability in stakeholder management, conflict resolution, and inter-agency collaboration
- A strong commitment to safety, security, and service excellence, with a track record of maintaining standards in complex, fast-moving settings
- The ability to work across a rotating roster and take ownership of critical operational decisions during all hours
- HSC or equivalent
- Eligibility to hold an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC)
- Eligibility to hold Airside Driver Authority (ADA Cat 2)
