Job Summary
Safely load and unload goods from trucks, railcars, and vessels while ensuring accurate inventory records and proper product delivery. Operate heavy equipment and maintain terminal buildings and machinery in good condition. Perform work area inspections, conduct safety toolbox talks, and comply with environmental regulations to uphold the company safety program. Communicate effectively with customers, team members, and managers while fostering a positive work environment. Adhere to all safety protocols, industry standards, and relevant regulations. Work various shifts including rotating schedules and extended hours in demanding physical conditions involving lifting up to 50 pounds frequently and working indoors and outdoors.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Ability to read, understand, and follow warning labels, safety instructions, and signage
- Ability to work various shifts, including rotating, extended hours, and respond to call outs
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Accurate record-keeping and organizational skills
- Ability to identify and resolve issues quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to adapt to changing work conditions and prioritize
- Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in demanding physical conditions include walking over rough and uneven surfaces, climbing ladders up to 20 feet and stairs, bending, pushing, pulling, and working in awkward positions, working in confined spaces, lifting and carrying materials up to 50 pounds frequently, 75 pounds occasionally, and 100 pounds rarely
- Ability to pass required background checks, physical examination, and drug screening
